Description
Serum and glucocorticoid-induced kinase 1 (SGK1) regulates blood pressure and has been implicated in inflammation and fibrosis. We have tested whether increased SGK1 activity potentiates mineralocorticoid/NaCl-induced hypertension and kidney injury. To that end we have used a transgenic mouse model with increased SGK1 activity (Tg.sgk1).
